March brought spring here with much sunshine, flowers blooming, and for me a sense of personal and professional growth. There were many happy moments, a lot of fulfillment and also some difficult times for us as a family. Even in those moments we tried to find and still are finding some positive moments (I will write about that in another post). During the more challenging days I had some low energy bouts and needed a little pick me up. I went the old-fashioned way – a little retail therapy. I ended up buying a few things I am so happy with with and I though I’d share it with you. (I am adding links to some of the products, these are NOT affiliated links, just for you to get more info).
I have to admit, in the past 7 years or so (about the same time I became a mommy) I lost my passion for shopping in real stores. I got into the habit of shopping on line for most things. However some things like Jeans or things involving scents I still force myself out into the real world of shopping. I took a day off everything with my BFF, had a nice brunch with her and we ventured into stores where I got the theses two things I really loved this month:
American Eagle Jeans. – I got two different pairs
The first is a high waisted, dark wash that I can literally live in. This is the most comfortable and usable pair of Jeans I have ever worn. I am so going back for more colors, this is the exact pair I bought.
I love the fact that it is so flattering on the body but still comfortable and functional.
The dark wash, I can pair with a more formal top, and wear to a meeting with a client and such.
The second one is different – I wanted to go for a more casual look and chose this one – because I loved the little patching that pick through the tears. I wear it on more laid back days, when I run around with the kids or having breakfast with the husband. It’s super comfy and super flattering.
After buying the jeans I headed to the nearby Ikea store. I always go there intending to buy one little thing (pie pan in this case) and ended up buying lot’s more. My best purchase on that trip was a scented candle. what I love about it that this one has a very clean scent like fresh linen which I love, and never found before.
I waited the whole month before writing about these products because I wanted to see how I feel about them. I have been using K beauty products for about two years now. They work really well with my skin. What I especially like about them is that they are effective and leave my skin feeling well nourished but they are not heavy, I can’t stand feeling like my skin is bogged down by some heavy dense cream.
This is an Secret Key anti wrinkle and a whitening cream which is why I use it at night and not out in the sun. In the morning when I wake up, my skin feels smooth soft and hydrated. It also looks more unified and clear after a month of use.
Etude House BB cream – I am one of these women who hate wearing foundation, I admit. I wear it only for meetings/events/date night with the husband. For a light daily cover, I have been using BB creams for years, this is the one I have been using lately. A little of it goes a longgg way, you literally have to have a very light hand on the pump because it has a pretty thick consistency that is easy to spread and bland into your skin. It doesn’t feel heavy when its on which is great, and it just gives the skin that clear fresh look.
I order all the K beauty products I use, from I herb which is where I buy many more things so it’s easiest for me, there’s cashback, and customer service is very fast and useful, which is great for me. Use whatever website you are comfortable with.
My BEST find of this month is by far the Herbatint Permanent Haircolor Gel.
It was recommended to me by one of my friends, when I was looking for a no Amonia no Parabens hair color. My hair is naturally very dry and I also had it straightened in the past year so I have to be very careful with what I use on it. This hair color is fantastic, for the first time after coloring, my hair feels soft , it’s easy to put on and control due to the gel formula, and the color itself maintains its shine and doesn’t turn dull .This is going o my permanent shopping list.
Did you have any great first time favorite “finds” this month? would love to hear about them.
Wishing you all Happy Easter/Happy Passover, and a joyful weekend.
