This month truly flew by. May has been mostly about adjusting to the summer that just dropped here wardrobe-wise and mood wise and also getting ready for our yearly family vacation that we will go on in a week. I had a lot of shopping to do for both. I needed to update my wardrobe, and need to get some things before our Paris vacation. Some of the items I bought are still on their way, but the ones I already got, turned out to be really good. Here are a few of the best items I got and made the most use of so far.
- Print Culottes – In the summer culottes are the only kind of trousers I can wear. I love how light and breezy they are, comfy and I love the way they look. This somewhat tropical print gave me summer vacation vibes as soon as I saw it so I ordered it right away. I am SO happy with it. It’s a perfect casual look for summer, goes great with flip flops and sandals and is perfect for the kind of heat we get here.
- Print wrap top – I absolutely love this top. I love the ruffles and the pastel light pink that are both very on trend this summer, and like I stated in my previous post I love wrap dresses, wrap top, wrap skirts – anything wrap I’m in on:)I like this top because it is not clingy, In the summer I like clothes to be a little looser, that there is some breathing room between my body whatever I am wearing, and this one gives me all that. I also like the fact I can use it for a work look or a weekend casual look.
- Mystic oil color glow – Hair products and I have a long history. I am naturally curly, very much so, and for years I have been trying and using products that helped to keep my hair in check. However, last year for my birthday, I went ahead and straightened my hair, and loved the results. the way I treat it and the products I use had to change along with it. This product was recommended to me by my hairdresser and I loved it right away. It’s nongreasy, it keeps the flyaways and frizziness away in the very dry climate I live in, it protects the color of my hair from fading and it smells fantastic.
- HP Pavilion laptop – and last but definitely not least – my new laptop I am infatuated with. My old one died on me, a very sudden death, and I panicked. I HATE changing computers. My laptop is a huge part of my day – It’s my main tool of work and I run my work and home life through it, so I can’t really be without one for even a day. Luckily all of the important things are always backed up so that was not a problem, but I really wanted the new laptop to be super efficient and comfortable to work with. I knew I wanted an HP one because I had a good experience with their laptops and a lot of storage. After a little research, I found this one and its a perfect fit for me. I like the interface, I love the full HD screen which I didn’t even know I needed until I got it and realized what a difference it is for my eyes with long days spent in front of it. and I like the way it looks too which is an extra bonus:)
These are the purchases I was most happy with this month. Many more items are on their way, and maybe next month I will tell you about some favorite things I got while in Paris:)
